A new global report on gender equality in scientific organizations has been launched by the International Science Council (ISC), the InterAcademy Partnership (IAP) and the Standing Committee for Gender Equality in Science (SCGES).
The study draws on 2025 institutional surveys of national academies and international scientific unions, building on earlier survey cycles, alongside an individual survey of scientists. It provides updated comparative data on women’s representation, participation and leadership, and identifies institutional factors that shape access and recognition.
The report also outlines practical recommendations for scientific organizations seeking to advance gender equality.
