The call for session proposals for the Arctic Congress 2024 is now closed, with a very strong number of submissions.
The call for session proposals closed at the end of July. The final number of session proposal submissions is 215, which promises a very engaging program on the main themes of the conference. These sessions follow Norway’s Arctic Council chairship priorities: Oceans, Climate and Environment, Sustainable Economic Development, and People of the North. The submissions will now be reviewed and decisions on the final acceptance of sessions will be announced by late September, 2023.
The Arctic Congress Bodø 2024 takes place from 29 May to 3 June 2024 in Bodø, Norway, hosted by Nordland Research Institute and Nord University. Bringing three conferences together in Bodø – the International Congress of Arctic Social Sciences (ICASS) XI, UArctic Congress 2024, and High North Dialogue 2024 in one of the 2024 European Cultural Capitals - this will be an extraordinary showcase of Arctic cooperation.
The congress includes high-level plenary sessions, several parallel sessions, network activities, and social and cultural events. It is an excellent opportunity for researchers, policymakers, businesses, and students to exchange knowledge and meet and connect across the Arctic.
